Psychotherapist
MD
Hello, I’m Josie. I’m here to support you in working through challenges that may be affecting your well-being, relationships, or everyday life. Whether you’re struggling with eating-disordered behaviors, anxiety, depression, OCD, family concerns, life transitions, or other sources of stress, therapy can help you better understand what you’re experiencing and develop effective ways to manage it. I take an individualized, collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based strategies. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we will explore what may be contributing to your difficulties and identify strategies that best fit your needs and circumstances. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work (MSW), an additional graduate degree in Counseling, and over 30 years of clinical experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. My areas of focus include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, family relationships, and life transitions. My style is compassionate, respectful, practical, and straightforward. I believe therapy works best when you feel understood, supported, and comfortable being yourself. I strive to create an environment where you can speak openly, gain insight into patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties, and strengthen your ability to navigate life’s challenges. While there are no quick fixes, therapy can provide greater understanding, new perspectives, and practical tools for making meaningful changes. My goal is to help you develop skills and strategies that are useful not only in therapy but in your everyday life. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we’ll work toward changes that are realistic, meaningful, and lasting.
