Getting to know Joslainez Gonzalo

I work with children, teens, and young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of themselves. I know it can be hard to open up, especially if you’re used to holding things in. I’ve seen how powerful it is when people feel truly heard and supported. I currently support middle and high school students in a therapeutic school setting and continue to provide in home therapy and family-based therapy; as well as facilitate process groups for adolescents and parent support groups. I focus on challenges on anxiety, mood changes, trauma, and self-esteem challenges- areas that can deeply impact how someone sees them Therapy with me is real and practical. We’ll talk honestly about what’s going on, identify patterns, and build tools you can use outside of session. I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT, but therapy won’t feel like a lecture — it will feel relevant to your life. I’ll support you while also gently challenging you to grow.

I provide virtual therapy throughout New Jersey and offer limited in-home sessions within a designated service area.
