What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a client-centered and strengths based approach to therapy. In other words, I tailor my approach to your specific needs. I approach my client's with the belief that each individual is inherently valuable and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. My hope is to help each client along on their journey, to provide a listening ear, and tools that will guide them closer to their wellness goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typically, I begin by introducing myself and getting a broad understanding of what brought you to therapy. I will then proceed to conduct a full biopsychosocial assessment in order to better understand all of the factors that may have contributed to your mental health as it currently stands. From there, we will discuss SMART goal setting in order to ensure our time together is not just subjectively beneficial but so that, by the time you decide to end services, you will have objective and measurable takeaways as well. After goal setting, treatment begins and that process is tailored to your specific needs but especially based on your own preferences and strengths. Therapy goes for as long as you feel that you continue to benefit.
