Getting to know Judith-Ann Anderson

I am here to listen with compassion and without judgment. I offer support on your journey toward better mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Through my many years of experience and training, I provide a path that creates a collaborative space for finding solutions, offering valuable insight and emotional repair. My certifications include Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Anger Resolution, and Hypnotherapy, with a specialty in Guided Imagery for relaxation and healing. My graduate and postgraduate studies in the healing arts of counseling, music, and acting are from the University of North Texas, where I earned an MEd in Counseling Psychology, and Southern Methodist University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist. A successful session will involve you, the client, using words that describe what you need from the session, what brings you to this moment, and why you wish to engage in a therapeutic relationship. My job, as your therapist is to listen, offer feedback and direction and be fully present. I will hold you in unconditional regard, always. Your journey is my priority!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session is really very simple. The client is asked a few basic questions, and then asked "How may I help you?" I ask you to tell me all about it. And then I listen. It is talk therapy, so the client must be willing to talk about feelings and discuss what behaviors are helpful and which ones need a change. My job is to support with reflection and feedback as requested.
