Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Judy! Hello, I am Judy Boland, LPC. Congratulations on taking action to focus on yourself. My passion is to work with people to live their best life and learn how to LIVE life instead of just surviving. I have been working successfully as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 23 years. I believe we have everything we need inside of us; however, our strengths can become covered by life experiences and challenges. I am committed to empowering my clients to find their voice and start living their best life. My approach I practice evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. Above all, I honor and respect the person I am working with and their unique attributes. I empower the people I work with to set and reach realistic and attainable goals to enjoy life. Therapy has serious moments and, of course, humorous moments as well when learning about ourselves. My focus I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. I have been working as an LPC in Texas since graduating from the University of Central Texas in 1997, received my license in 1999, and worked as an LCDC prior to becoming an LPC. I have had the privilege of working with people facing numerous challenges they strive to overcome. I have also worked with our honorable military and first responders to address PTSD. My communication style I have a passion for working with people affected by traumatic situations who desire not to be identified by a label but as the strong and brilliant individuals they are. I have worked in treatment facilities including inpatient, residential, outpatient, and private practice. My journey to mental healthcare I had several good mentors along the way and felt a passionate pull to help people. I absolutely love working with people and seeing the "lightbulb" go on as they get better.
