What should a new client know about working with you?

I am passionate about working with individuals and couples from culturally diverse backgrounds, and historically marginalized identities, as they navigate relationship challenges, life transitions, and family systems. I work with individuals to gain a stronger sense of self by exploring the ways past experiences inform current behaviors and interactions. I specialize in treating complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Together, we will identify and address unhelpful relational patterns while uncovering your vulnerabilities and strengths, aiming to foster meaningful change and personal growth. As a Caribbean immigrant, I offer a deep understanding of challenges related to culture and race, drawing on my own experiences to inform my practice. My approach is centered on empowerment, encouraging clients to explore their values and harness their strengths to foster meaningful change. I am dedicated to supporting clients as they navigate their intersectional identities, creating a welcoming space where every aspect of who you are is honored.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In my therapeutic practice, I emphasize the relational aspect of therapy, integrating interpersonal and wellness models with the latest insights from neuroscience. This holistic approach considers your emotional, mental, physical, and social well-being, always being mindful of your unique cultural context. Through a collaborative process, we design personalized interventions that address your individual needs, ensuring a well-rounded and effective therapeutic experience.
