Hey there, I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to take this step. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure of how to move forward, you’re not alone. Healing is possible, and you deserve to feel at home within yourself. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. I specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—two powerful, evidence-based approaches that help process and heal deep-rooted wounds. Many of us carry the weight of intergenerational and childhood trauma, often without realizing how much it impacts our daily lives. These experiences shape the way we see ourselves and others, often manifesting as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, self-doubt, a harsh inner critic, emotional numbness, or difficulty expressing our needs and setting boundaries. If any of this resonates, I want you to know—these patterns don’t define you. They developed as protective responses, often in childhood, to help you navigate difficult situations. But what once helped you survive doesn’t have to keep you stuck. Together, we can explore these parts of you with curiosity instead of judgment, creating space for healing, self-compassion, and meaningful change. Many of my clients come to me feeling disconnected from themselves—trapped in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, or feeling like they’re “too much” or “not enough.” If you’ve ever felt the need to prove your worth, keep the peace at your own expense, or push your feelings aside to avoid burdening others, I see you. These patterns often come from early experiences where we learned to adapt in order to feel safe, accepted, or loved. If this speaks to you, I’d love to connect and see if we might be a good fit on your healing journey. You don’t have to do this alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The most important aspect of therapy is your well-being, feeling safe, and the connection we build together. It’s essential that you feel comfortable with me and that we develop trust, allowing us to explore the more vulnerable parts of your story. Therapy can be challenging — we were never taught how to sit with our emotions; instead, we were often told to stop crying. My goal is for us to work together to release the emotional burdens, trauma, and stories you’ve been holding onto.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process, as mentioned before, starts off with establishing a relationship with you. After you feel safe and ready to do so, we explore your personal patterns and recognize that they’re not flaws but parts of you that have been working hard to protect you from deep pain—feelings like shame, worthlessness, or grief. Together, we can sit with these emotions and befriend these parts, offering them compassion, curiosity, and connection. I blend IFS and EMDR, two evidence based therapeutic modalities to reprocess tough memories, create emotional regulation skills, and step into your most authentic self!
