Welcome to my therapist page! I believe that having a good match with your provider is what makes therapy successful. I encourage you to set up an appointment to see if we might be a good fit. No pressure if not! I want my clients to feel comfortable with me. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, both of which are used to treat trauma. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work on life changes and stressors, anxiety, and depression. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults on life changes, anxiety, and depression. I also enjoy helping people who have been through traumatic events. I tend to be pretty laid back. I want my clients to feel comfortable being open and honest with me. If I'm doing something you don't like, or you want me to do something differently, please tell me!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I became a social worker because I liked working with kids and families. I worked at an organization where I did therapy with adolescents and their families for 7 years. Then I moved and worked in an emergency room where I helped people of all ages who were in crisis. Through that experience, I found that I like working with young adults as well. I like to talk about your goals often so that we make sure we're making progress.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I would like to chat and see if you think our personalities are a good match for working together. I also like to gather information about your support system, your history, and what's bringing you to therapy. I prefer to do this by us having a conversation rather than me asking you a list of questions. I also hope you'll ask me any questions that you may have!
