Getting to know Julia O'Halla

I specialize in helping adults heal from relationship wounds, attachment injuries, unresolved experiences, and trauma that continue to impact their relationships, self-worth, and sense of security. Many of my clients are hardworking, thoughtful, and highly capable individuals who are moving forward in life, yet still find themselves overthinking relationships, seeking reassurance, fearing rejection, people-pleasing, or struggling to trust others despite wanting deeper connection. Together, we'll identify patterns that once helped you cope, heal the wounds beneath them, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I work with clients who want more than insight alone. Many have spent years understanding their struggles intellectually but continue to feel impacted by them emotionally. By processing the experiences beneath these patterns, EMDR can help clients experience meaningful relief and lasting change. Whether you are navigating dating, marriage, a breakup, family conflict, or simply want to feel more secure and confident in your relationships, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, growth, and lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me that therapy with me feels both comfortable and meaningful. I’m able to sit with the harder emotions, but I’m also someone who appreciates moments of humor and lightness when they naturally show up. I’m steady, compassionate, and grounded — and I’ll always treat your story with respect.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by getting to know your story and what you’re hoping to work on. I check in regularly to ensure the process feels meaningful and aligned with your goals. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, and experiences in a supportive, non-judgmental space. As therapy continues, we combine deeper reflection with practical tools that help you feel more grounded and equipped in your everyday life.
