Getting to know Julia Schroeder

?In a world where you can be anything, be kind.? - Caroline Flack Hello! I am Julia. Are you feeling stuck? Overwhelmed by current events or the direction your life has taken? Do you find yourself repeating behaviors or patterns that contribute to your unhappiness, without understanding why? Do you have thoughts or feelings that upset you? Are you struggling to handle sudden changes in your life, including new physical limitations? I have good news. You are not alone. And help is out there. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University. I focus on providing a safe, compassionate, and empathetic environment while promoting accountability and proactive planning to encourage positive change. Most importantly, I am here to work with you on your journey to becoming the person you want to be. Together, we will determine the strategies that work best for you. I am here to listen and support you, without judgment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is far more than the time you spend talking with me. The real work of therapy is when you go home and work through the new information, or practice new skills. As such, you should expect to leave sessions with “homework” - questions to consider and answer, journaling, or new skills to implement and test. This is where real change happens.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
