Getting to know Julianne Ortiz (Auri)

Being your authentic self in this world can be hard, but it is possible. Often, we have things weighing us down that get in the way of that process. I want to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and help you recognize your own strengths. My wish is for you to find support and become more empowered. Counseling is one way you can begin to work through these challenges. It offers an outside perspective and a type of scaffolding as you build yourself up. Communication, stress management, and dealing with the intensity of daily emotions can be overwhelming, especially when you realize that your brain is considered different from the “default.” As a counselor with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University, I believe that when lived experience is combined with formal schooling, the results can create a better connection. Let's work together on goals that you find important because you know yourself better than anyone else! If you connect to these thoughts, then I invite you to contact me. Finally, if you are ready to schedule, you can click on the book now button. (Please note I will answer your messages during regular business hours M-F. These forms of contact are for non-urgent matters.)

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect some knowledge and skill building, as well as time for reflection. Depending on where your needs are this can change. I will often recommend further community resources that you can access, in order to build up your foundation of support. Throughout the process, you can take away some healthy coping skills and an increased understanding of yourself. You will also learn ways that you can become your own advocate.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

1st off this was a teleheath appointment, so questions about office visits seemed unfair to the provider. Care provided was incredible and look forward to more sessions.

Julianne Ortiz seems to be a caring and considerate mental healthcare provider. I’ve only had one session so far, but I already feel comfortable attending future therapy sessions with Julianne. Julianne is a clear communicator and was considerate of the possible emotional responses one may have to certain questions that were part of the intake. The intake was thorough and I feel as though I will make much progress in therapy with Julianne.
