With over 24 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, I have the privilege of helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I specialize in working with adults dealing with grief and loss, life transitions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, life stress, and women's issues. What is your typical process for working with clients?
In our initial session, I’ll take time to understand your background, goals, and the specific challenges you're facing. From there, we will establish a treatment plan that aligns with your needs. My therapeutic approach often includes a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and a strengths-based approach. I will provide tools to help you manage immediate concerns while also addressing deeper emotional patterns that may contribute to long-term struggles. Throughout the process, I’ll ensure we consistently reassess progress and adjust our approach to ensure you feel supported and empowered.

I highly highly recommend Julie. She has helped me so much to work through my struggles. She listens and gives the best feedback. Most of all, she helps me to change my thinking when I’m having a hard time with things that are going on. She is so easy to talk to and really is a highlight in my day! She acknowledges and validates my feelings, but then also helps me to see the good things that are also happening!
