Hello! My name is Julie, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri. I would love to partner with you to feel well and be well! Let's nourish your soul and find healing with the practices I’ve implemented from the wealth of wisdom I’ve gleaned from decades of challenges related to health, relationships, and loss. From the unexpected loss of numerous loved ones, the end of intimate relationships, unmet expectations, and chronic illness, we can go from misery to mastery, bitter to better, and find some nuggets of joy in the journey. It's not easy, but YOU are worth investing in! It takes time, but let’s find peace, balance, and contentment in the midst of crazy times. Life can really be tough, and there are not a lot of easy answers to many challenges. While I find DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), mindfulness, and faith in general to be very useful for many people, I am honored to help find the best approach for you in coping with life's curveballs, managing long seasons of hardship, and finding hope in the most difficult issues we may face. My particular interests include travel, nutrition, movement, parenting struggling children, caregiving, social and environmental justice, race relations, and finding the aspects of faith that are helpful while discerning what does not serve you well. With a Master's degree in Social Work and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in a wide range of areas including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues and physical health, multicultural and diversity issues, perinatal support, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, somatic symptom disorder, spirituality, stress, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions. Working with me means embarking on a journey where we explore and address your unique challenges together. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can express yourself freely and work towards your goals. Whether you're dealing with the complexities of relationships, navigating life transitions, or seeking to improve your mental and physical health, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about travel, nutrition, movement, and social and environmental justice. I also have a deep interest in parenting, caregiving, and exploring faith in a way that serves you best. These interests not only enrich my life but also inform my practice, helping me connect with clients on a deeper level. If you're ready to start your journey towards healing and growth, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to find peace, balance, and contentment in the midst of life's challenges.
