Getting to know Julie Cluett

Are you feeling alone or adrift in your experience of grief and loss? Are you seeking support and a positive shift in perspective as you face significant changes—losing a loved one, starting a new job or career, empty nesting, giving birth, or moving homes? Your journey through grief, loss, or life change is unique, with its own timeline and emotional landscape. As your therapist, I will support you in navigating the complex mix of feelings you may encounter—anxiety, depression, numbness, and more—as well as the altered rhythms of this new life chapter. By providing a safe space to explore meaning, moods, identity, and relationships during this transition, I will help you expand your skills in managing unwelcome emotions. Listening with a whole heart and open mind, inviting your reflections, and offering guidance and support, I am committed to your healing and growth during this difficult time. With a professional background as a hospice social worker and as a career changer, I understand the variability and uniqueness of how life changes and loss can manifest both inwardly and outwardly. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Salem State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University. While the work we do together may be challenging and heart-heavy at times, it can also invite moments of humor and profound insight. My expertise lies in supporting you as you find your footing on the path you choose. Journeys, whether inward or outward, will inspire our partnership and work together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first few sessions, I will help you to name and clarify what is most important to you to address in our time together, while committing to understanding the broader context of your lived experience – at home, at work, in the community. At the end of each session, I will summarize and reflect on our dialogue to recognize the steps you are taking and the questions that still give you pause. As our trust and relationship deepens, I will help you explore and confront the challenges that may be limiting your happiness, growth, and outlook and will invite curiosity, authenticity and kindness.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
