Julie Collins, LPC Associate

Psychotherapist
7660 Woodway Dr, Ste 585, Houston, TX
The provider is supervised by "Jenai Tidwell". Relationship strain can build over time, leaving you feeling distant, disconnected, or stuck in the same painful arguments. You and your partner may struggle with communication, trust, intimacy, or recovering from betrayal, and despite your best efforts, nothing seems to change. I work with couples and individuals navigating relationship challenges, trust issues, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, codependency, and emotional overwhelm while helping clients build healthier, more secure relationships. I support couples healing from betrayal, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, intimacy concerns, and communication breakdowns through practical relationship tools and deeper relational work. I also work with women and teens navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem struggles, codependency, and relationship stress. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when things feel stuck. You don't have to do it alone. If faith is important to you, Christian values can be thoughtfully integrated into our work as we move toward greater healing, trust, connection, and emotional balance.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have been working with adults and teens facing developmental trauma, substance abuse and personality disorders since 2019, utilizing training in trauma-focused CBT, DBT, EFT and Phase 1 Brainspotting (to name a few) to provide effective, tailored treatment and intervention for healing and growth. As a mother of three and the wife of a professional sports referee, I understand the challenges faced by couples and families in unique circumstances. I help couples navigate betrayal and recurring conflicts, guiding them to rebuild trust, intimacy, and connection. We work to create a safe space for vulnerability and emotional intimacy, exploring hidden fears and insecurities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I integrate holistic, neurobiological, trauma-informed methods, which consider the relationship between the brain, body, environment, and social interactions. This allows you to acknowledge how past traumas impact the brain's functioning today. I believe in the transformative power of integrating faith into therapy. I can seamlessly incorporate a Christian perspective if that's your preference.
