Getting to know Julie Haran -Castaneda

Julie Haran-Castaneda, MSW, JD, LCSW at Consejo, Inc. I am licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a background in treating children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am also a licensed attorney with many years of experience as a working professional and mother. I obtained my MSW from Jane Addams School of Social Work with an additional certification in Evidence-Based Practices. My therapeutic style is solution oriented and utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based strategies, and psychodynamic approaches. These approaches along with a concentration on holistic methods will be incorporated into sessions to meet the multidimensional needs of my patients. I will empathically assist my patients in exploring different perspectives, gaining insight, developing problem solving skills, and improving their daily functioning. This will lead to stress reduction and the ability to prioritize self-care. My areas of focus include work with professionals, divorcees, and parents and those who are emotional trauma survivors. I consider myself to be a clinician who truly understands the need for life balance, unconditional support, and utmost discretion.
