Hi, I am Julie, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology and a Master's in Counseling, both from Northeastern State University. I love working with clients who are seeking help while going through a challenging time or situation in life, or who want to heal from trauma, burnout, or chronic stress. My approach is Trauma Informed and Person-Centered, which means the focus is on you?your strengths, challenges, and experiences. I use Compassionate Inquiry to help you develop insight about yourself and the personal growth you want to see in your life. I also use Parts Therapy, focusing on your inner dialogue and ways to improve your inner life to align with your goals, reduce symptoms of stress, and foster a greater sense of well-being. I am well-practiced in CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and I tailor my approach to what makes the most sense for each individual and their circumstances. Most of my clients present with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and challenging life situations. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and people who are neurodivergent, including those on the autism spectrum, highly sensitive individuals, and those with ADHD. Many of my clients are outside-the-box thinkers who may struggle to feel safe being themselves. Clients often mention feeling supported, understood, and genuinely cared for when working with me. I am nurturing and gentle, yet insightful, helping you see your authentic self and areas for growth. I also like to use free online personality tests to help you better understand your values, needs, and the steps you can take to enhance your life and overall well-being.
