Psychotherapist
414 Plaza Dr, Ste 301, Westmont, IL
Working with children and families has been my life’s work. When people come into my office, I seek to understand. I listen to your life-story, and how life has become unmanageable. We work together to restore balance to your life. If your life has never felt balanced, then that is where we begin. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, then I can help. The typical symptoms I have helped people overcome are: Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions (Divorce, Having Children (In-Vitro/Adoption)), Addictions (Drugs, Alcohol and Sex). In addition, I do EMDR for treating trauma and Emotional/Physical/Psychological trauma for both children and adults who have a trauma history (alcoholism in the family, abuse history, early life transition stressors). ?What makes my work is effective is my personal journey. My experiences as a mother of four, and wife of 17 years lends itself to being very relatable. Family life is definitely a journey with a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Nothing prepares us for the self-sacrifice, continuous demands and busyness that comes with the transition to family life. As a result, many of us find ourselves running from thing to thing while losing ourselves and our purpose in the shuffle. You are not alone. Therapy is a quiet and safe space to reflex on your purpose of life, where it may have got off track, and how to get back to living with intention. We can work on the past for the purpose of making a wondrous future. You are worth it!
