Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Julie! Have you felt like you're just surviving and not thriving? Stuck in old patterns and belief systems? Let me support you in finding ways to live your life more intentionally and create new ways to cope better. My focus I specialize in addiction, trauma, families, and couples. I work with a lot of people in and out of recovery and really value being able to support anyone who is seeking help. My approach I focus on the therapeutic connection and creating a safe space for my clients to feel heard, valued, and capable of change. I have an eclectic approach to therapy. I meet my clients where they are and work with them collaboratively to build a better sense of self and increase their coping skills. My communication style I'm gentle but direct. I like to help guide clients in making decisions that feel right for them. I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathic partner. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into therapy began with a curiosity about human resilience and a desire to help others find strength through life’s challenges. Working with addicts and trauma survivors showed me the power of therapy in healing. I’m driven by the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and lasting change. My goals for you I see therapy as a partnership. Together, we’ll set goals that matter to you—whether that’s improving relationships, building self-esteem, pursuing personal growth, getting sober or working through trauma. As you gain new insights, we’ll adapt your plan to stay meaningful and supportive as you move toward where you want to be. Our first session We go over the intake a client will fill out before our first meeting and set goals the client has shared they hope to achieve in therapy.
