What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session will typically run a full 60 minutes. We'll spend time reviewing your intake paperwork together. I'll take time to review informed consent, what it means, and answer any questions you may have, about any paperwork or processes. I'll invite you to share what your hopes and goals for counseling are, and what mental health wellness mean for/you. We'll work together to create a plan for treatment, which will include an estimate of number of sessions, and for how long. The first session can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. That's totally normal. However, it's important that you feel safe & comfortable with your therapist, so that no fears of possible shame or embarrassment prevent you from opening up fully. I encourage you to give it 3 sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
