Getting to know Julie Tirella

Life can be very stressful and overwhelming at times. We may find ourselves feeling stuck, disconnected, anxious or unsure of how to move forward in our relationships, career, family life, or sense of purpose. You don't have to navigate these challenges alone. As a licensed mental health therapist with over 25 years of experience, I am dedicated to supporting individuals, families , and couples as they work through life transitions, emotional struggles, and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience working with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance abuse, and couples dynamics. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I feel therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and truly heard. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic practices while tailoring each session to the client's unique goal and needs. My wish is to help the client build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful change. It is very important for me to provide a supportive, safe and non-judgmental environment to assist clients in feeling comfortable , supported, and free to share at their own pace.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, we will touch on some of the reasons you are seeking support, get to know each other a bit and talk about your personal goals. If for some reason you feel that I'm not a good fit... no worries! Therapy can sometimes be like buying shoes - you have to try them on first to make sure they fit and are comfortable! And the most important ingredient to success in treatment is your comfort level with your therapist. If for any reason the shoes don't fit, I can always help you find another provider that could fit your needs better!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
