Asking for support isn’t always easy—taking that first step can be the hardest part. My priority is to build a therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe, validated, and supported throughout our work together. Change can be both challenging and rewarding, and my role is to help you navigate that process with compassion and care. My approach I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. By recognizing unhelpful patterns, you can begin to develop healthier ways of thinking and responding—leading to more effective coping strategies and lasting change. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) may also be an approach that I use depending on your individual needs. DBT focuses on managing intense emotions, improving interpersonal relationships, and increasing emotional regulation. DBT teaches practical tools, such as how to stay calm during stressful situations, navigate conflict, and practice self-compassion. I often incorporate mindfulness practice alongside CBT and DBT to support emotional balance, reduce anxiety, and strengthen present-moment awareness. My focus I work with adults who are experiencing challenges such as anxiety, intrusive thoughts, impulsive behaviors, hopelessness, relationship difficulties, and grief. Whatever you're facing, we will work together to explore and address the barriers that may be keeping you from living the life you envision. My communication style My communication style is calm, non-judgmental, and empathetic. I use active and reflective listening to ensure I truly understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. You can expect a safe space where your voice is heard and respected. My journey to mental healthcare I’ve always known I wanted to pursue a helping profession. My journey began as a mental health nurse, and after several years in that role, I felt drawn to return to school and become a therapist.
