I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Master’s degree holder in Counseling Psychology, a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), and have been active in the mental health sector since 1996. I offer individual and family therapy to adolescents (14+) and adults dealing with diverse obstacles like PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, sexuality and gender issues, social dysfunction, and suicidal ideation, to name a few. As a counsellor, my primary treatment modalities span Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy among others. I also offer relaxation sessions, tailoring my approach to suit each client. My professional journey includes diverse roles in adolescent residential treatment facilities, university student counseling centers, and school counseling services. I've also served as a Clinical Supervisor in a residential treatment facility, during which I was contributing to various projects and streamlining staff training procedures. I obtained certification in Rational Emotive Behavior Theory from the Albert Ellis Institute and am a certified facilitator of the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Treatment Curriculum. I firmly believe in building meaningful relationships with my clients, guiding them towards their objectives and rejoicing in their success. I'm an advocate of a balanced lifestyle to attain mental health, highlighting the importance of effective coping skills, healthy social interaction, regular exercise, and nutrition. This belief, along with my experiences and qualifications, underpin my philosophy and approach to therapy. Beyond my professional life, I'm a mother of twins and have various active hobbies, truly living the well-rounded lifestyle I promote, adding to my enthusiasm and dedication to my professional life.
