Juliet Christensen, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Juliet! I'm Juliet Christensen, a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Emergency Medical Technician. I earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. I've worked internationally in West Africa and have 13 children, 8 of whom are adopted. I've spent most of my career working with couples, families, and individuals, helping them navigate life's challenges and build stronger, healthier relationships. My approach My approach to therapy is integrated and skills-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Strategic, and Narrative Therapy. I help clients build practical skills to shift unhelpful thought patterns, find solutions, and rewrite limiting personal narratives. By blending these methods, I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs, addressing challenges like relationships, parenting, divorce, or LGBTQ+ experiences. The goal is to create lasting change in a practical and empowering way. My focus I work with individuals, couples, and families dealing with relationship challenges, parenting struggles, divorce or co-parenting dynamics, and LGBTQ+ concerns. I'm comfortable treating anxiety, depression, communication issues, conflict resolution, developing parenting skills, and helping clients through crises. I also have experience with trans youth and their families. My focus is on helping clients navigate life transitions, strengthen connections, and develop practical skills to manage emotional or relational difficulties. My communication style In sessions, I create a space that feels relaxed, compassionate, and grounded in reality. I'm down-to-earth and practical, offering clear, straightforward guidance with a touch of humor when needed. I'm compassionate but direct-my goal is to help you make real, tangible progress by getting to the heart of the matter while keeping things light when appropriate.
