June Price, LCSW

June Price, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
My therapeutic orientation has largely been theoretical in nature; however, if I were to place a label on it, I would describe my approach as eclectic. I lean toward an eclectic approach because, contrary to popular belief, a one-size-fits-all method to psychotherapy is limiting for both therapist and client. Before securing my clinical licensure, most of my roles focused on case management and crisis stabilization care, which meant my clinical toolkit was limited. As I continue to develop professionally, I now rely more heavily on motivational interviewing and brief solutions-focused interventions, largely due to my current clinical setting. In addition to these approaches, I have been interested in several therapeutic orientations, including CBT, family systems therapy, EFT, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Self-Psychology as a form of psychodynamic intervention, logotherapy, and a range of depth psychological integrative approaches such as Shamanism, dream interpretation from a Jungian perspective, and somatic therapy. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago, which has further informed and enriched my clinical practice.
