Psychotherapist
CA
I am a licensed psychotherapist in California. I support Asian and Asian American clients navigating multicultural identities, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is compassionate and culturally attuned, helping you feel seen, grounded, and empowered to grow. My approach My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive. I listen deeply and help clients explore their emotions, patterns, and strengths. Together, we work to heal past wounds, build self-compassion, and find balance while honoring both Asian and American cultural values. My focus I work with Asian and Asian American adults in California who struggle with anxiety, self-esteem, or identity challenges from living between cultures. I also support clients healing from trauma or family issues, helping them feel more grounded, confident, and understood. My communication style I bring a steady, thoughtful presence to sessions. I listen closely, reflect on what I hear, and sometimes offer gentle challenges to deepen insight. I want clients to feel seen not only for their struggles but also for their resilience and strength. My journey to mental healthcare I grew up in Japan and moved to Indiana in 2001, where I helped people from around the world adjust to life in the U.S. After earning my M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University, I became an LMFT. I’m passionate about supporting Asian immigrants and trauma survivors as they heal, grow, and rediscover themselves. My goals for you I support clients by helping them understand the roots of their struggles and how past experiences shape the present. From that awareness, we set clear intentions and use practical strategies to build emotional balance and confidence in daily life. My first session with you In our first session, I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain. We’ll explore your story at your own pace, and I’ll ask gentle questions to better understand your needs.
