Getting to know Justin Dantzler

I work with adults and teens offering individual counseling via telehealth. Have the past few years been mentally challenging for you? Have you been mentally impacted by the pandemic? I provide supports and strategies to help you address concerns for more balanced living. I am a first responding firefighter and bring over 17 years of non-profit experience along with more than 11 years of counseling experience. I have worked as a Director for a state-funded agency supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, I have provided support and counseling to at-risk and underprivileged youth and conducted mentoring groups. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the New York Institute of Technology – Long Island Campus and a Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I can help you with work-life balance, anxiety, depression, and stress using a person-centered holistic approach. I am also a Certified Life Coach working with individuals to reach the best version of themselves. I work with adults, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I offers individual counseling via tele-therapy (HIPPA compliant).

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I have availability for virtual sessions on weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings, as well as weekend mornings and afternoons. A word from me: At times, we tend to be harder on ourselves than the external world. We are all people, being. Let’s work together to help achieve your ideal self.
