Getting to know Justin Jacobson

Justin received his Master’s in Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2021. After earning his degree, he worked as a therapist at a community non-profit focused on the treatment and prevention of childhood trauma. In that role, he provided therapy to individuals of all ages and therapeutic needs, with the majority of his clients being children and adolescents. Through this work, Justin developed a passion for working with youth, as well as the understanding, insights, and skills to effectively meet their needs, keep them engaged in the process, and ultimately help them find strength and healing. Justin is proficient in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. He is also Autplay certified and fluent in Spanish. While recognizing the importance of thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and behaviors, Justin believes that real human connection and relationship ultimately lead to healing and recovery. As such, he practices client-centered principles in all he does. He believes therapy should be hard work, but also something people look forward to. A great lover of life, Justin enjoys a wide range of activities including rock climbing, video games, reading and writing, watching TV, and going on long walks with his wife, son, and dog.
