Getting to know Kabian Brown
Hello, my name is Kabian Brown. I'm excited to meet you and start working with you on your goals in therapy.
My ideal clients are teens, couples, and adults who are finding their way, dealing with trauma, and setting goals in their lives. I specialize in working with individuals facing ADHD, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health issues, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, depression, family relationships, gender identity, psychosis/schizophrenia, PTSD, stress, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.
I am a very transparent therapist, and I bring that to our sessions. I challenge my clients to be the best that they can be as I do 49% of the work and they do 51%. Originally from the Bronx, NY, I have worked with a diverse demographic. I have worked as a contractor for the Army Reserve as a Youth Services Specialist responsible for Family Programming, Yellow Ribbon Re-Integration Events, Battle Weekends, etc. In addition to enhancing my social services background, I have also served as a Care Ambassador with the CDC, assisting with Ebola outreach prevention services.
I believe in transparency and open communication. I tell everyone that therapy does not mean you're crazy, as that is a common perception. Therapy, life coaching, or mentoring simply means you need guidance or an ear to listen to. I am available!
My motto is: 'Therapy should be like good music. When the music is good, you're engaged. When it is bad, the first option is to switch to something else that's worth listening to.'
