Howdy! I’m Kabir, an Indian, trans therapist based in Houston, Texas. I support folks navigating neurodivergence, gender and/or sexuality exploration, and relationship (romantic and family) shifts after gender transition. I also provide premarital counseling and am registered with Twogether in Texas so you can receive $60 off your marriage license.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My work is Internal Families Systems (IFS) informed, grounded in both mindfulness and an unshakeable belief that you’re not broken, the systems around us are broken, and you are responding to that. There’s so much in this world that can make life feel like a dumpster fire, from anti-LGBTQ+ legislation to watching dangerous amounts of violence on our screens. It makes sense that anxiety, depression, isolation, and suicidality are trends we’re seeing now.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Sessions can look like talking about ongoing stressors, traumas that you’ve experienced, and the joyful moments that keep you here. If you’re coming in person to the office, there’s dim lighting, fidgets, blankets, and a comfy couch ready for you to decompress in. This space is for you to bring any and all parts of yourself.
