What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and respected, so I take time to understand your experiences, goals, and concerns at your own pace. My approach is practical and strengths-based. I focus on helping clients build effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen communication and relationships. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing us to address immediate concerns while also working toward long-term growth. I value transparency and partnership in the therapeutic process. I will offer guidance, feedback, and tools while respecting your autonomy and comfort level. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, stress, behavioral challenges, family concerns, or life transitions, my goal is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and supported both in and outside of therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy, including your goals, concerns, and any relevant background information. The first session focuses on building rapport, discussing current stressors, and creating a plan that feels manageable and supportive. Ongoing sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented. We may check in on how things have been going, identify patterns or triggers, and work on practical skills such as coping strategies, emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing space to address both immediate needs and deeper themes as you feel ready. I regularly check in to ensure therapy is meeting your needs and adjust our approach as necessary. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and equipped with tools you can use outside of sessions to improve daily functioning and emotional well-being.
