Getting to know Kacey Ardoin

Over the past 10+ years, I have worked with people who are struggling with a variety of issues, including: mental health, addictions, major life changes, trauma, parenting, and self-esteem. I specialize in: anxiety, depression, relationships, breakups, divorce, codependency, grief, and survivors of suicide loss. I enjoy working with people who are feeling stuck or stagnant in life and want to get "unstuck". We will work on getting to the root of why you are feeling stuck and ways to get your life moving again!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is relational and trauma-informed. I like to allow space to process, but I also like to give direct feedback to help guide you in session. I use various different techniques, but Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy are my specialties. I also have extensive experience working with relationship trauma and attachment styles.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will start with an intake session to get to know you better - this includes talking about what is bringing you to therapy, past therapy experiences, relationship history, family history, and goals for therapy. The first few sessions focus on getting to know you more (as well as your therapy goals), and we will come up with a treatment plan together. I like to provide space to process and vent in follow-up sessions, but I also like to give direct feedback to help guide you in sessions.
