With 7+ years of experience as a mental health professional, I specialize in providing compassionate and evidence-based care tailored to each client’s unique needs. My therapeutic approach integrates EMDR with other modalities like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Internal Family System (IFS) informed parts work, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, allowing clients to process difficult experiences and build resilience in a safe, supportive environment. I have worked extensively with clients dealing with PTSD, shock traumas, childhood abuse, attachment and developmental traumas, dissociative disorders, and anxiety-related conditions. I’m passionate about teaching and practicing parenting skills. My therapeutic style is interpersonal, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, trusting space where clients feel supported as they navigate their healing journey. I tend to use humor whenever appropriate to the situation. Growing up in the USSR amid social and political unrest, poverty, and the harsh realities of ethnic conflict gave me an unusual vantage point on human resiliency and suffering. As a child, I witnessed a close family member struggle with a complex mental health condition that might have inspired my unique empathy and understanding psychological complexity. I saw firsthand how mental health challenges not only affect the person experiencing them but also the people around them.
