“Kaitlin is incredibly skilled and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a lot of experience supporting people through trauma. She creates a space that feels safe, compassionate, and free of judgment, which has been so important in my healing journey. Her approach blends professionalism with genuine warmth, and she uses trauma-informed methods that really help with regulation and growth. She’s also direct and unafraid to address the hard stuff in a way that feels supportive, which has helped me face things I might have avoided before. I appreciate how she balances empathy with clear guidance, helping me build insight and practical tools that make a lasting difference.”

“Katie is an excellent therapist - responsive, approachable, and unbiased. She approaches her work with a listening ear and hones in on you being heard, but also provides insight/support to challenge your perspectives. I've been with a few other therapists and I do have to say this has been a very positive experience and I feel I made the best decision for my life by choosing this therapist in my therapy journey. ”

Getting to know Kaitlin Oberg

Do you struggle with difficult past experiences and memories that affect your ability to function and your relationships? Do you feel exhausted by your body’s reactions to the world around you? Do you struggle to manage symptoms of a chronic illness or autoimmunity? Now more than ever, individuals who have experienced trauma are feeling overwhelmed by trying to thrive while navigating distressing experiences from their past. I believe there is hope and answers, even if the trauma you’ve experienced feels especially complex. I offer integrative, experiential, and evidence-based approaches to treating PTSD, including eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work collaboratively with my clients to understand their difficulties, and tailor their treatment plan to their specific needs. Taking a personalized approach to treating PTSD and chronic illness is my passion. I will help you heal from trauma wounds, while prioritizing listening to your body’s limits and needs. We will work together to reduce the impact trauma has had on your overall well-being. Book online today for a free consultation, and we’ll take the first step together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work together with clients to understand what is bringing them to therapy, what their goals are for our work together, and provide a warm and comfortable approach to help treat trauma experiences. I also work with clients to identify their body's limits, and help them respect the warning signs that indicate that they may be functioning outside of their window of tolerance, whether that is from trauma or from a chronic illness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, I usually provide clients with an overview of what their therapy process will look like, from treatment planning to future interventions, and take a complete history of what is bringing them to therapy. I provide clients with an overview of their options for what therapy may be the best fit for what they are coming to treatment for, and determine the appropriate frequency of sessions.
