Kaitlyn Pettyjohn, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing telehealth therapy to adults across Florida, with a primary focus on disability adjustment, spinal cord injury support, mobility changes, and life as a wheelchair user. I specialize in helping individuals navigate the emotional, psychological, and identity shifts that often follow life-changing injuries, chronic illness, neurological conditions, and other significant medical diagnoses. In addition to supporting individuals directly affected by disability, I also provide therapy for spouses, partners, and immediate family members adjusting to a loved one’s injury or illness. Caregivers often experience overwhelm, grief, role changes, and emotional burnout, and their mental health is just as important during this transition. I also provide treatment for trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My background includes working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with individuals experiencing medical trauma, substance use recovery, high-stress professions, and profound identity shifts following injury or changes in independence.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
