Life’s most difficult experiences can provide seeds for change. On our own, it can be challenging to see their potential. When given a safe space and tools, we are best able to plant these seeds and cultivate meaningful growth. As an individual therapist, I aim to create a non-judgmental, authentic, and warm environment to grow and harvest insights and build skills to better navigate life experiences. I often work with emerging adults and those experiencing life transitions. Most clients I work with also experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, and/or the impacts of trauma. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and earned my Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Additionally, I work with those in recovery from addiction and provide support alongside both 12-step and harm reduction approaches. Further, I provide individual therapy to family/caregivers of people who experience addiction and/or severe and persistent mental health concerns. I frequently utilize DBT and ACT skills to support in the therapy process. It is an honor to support my clients as they find more effective ways of coping with intense emotions, develop and renew their sense of self, find new and redefined purpose, and make meaning from past and present experiences. I wish you the best in your search and I invite you to explore with me how I can best help! I hope to get to meet you soon.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first couple of sessions, we will discuss your history and what you are looking for from therapy. We will then work together to set goals and explore how we would like to structure our sessions. For some clients, this may be having more process-oriented talk therapy sessions. For others, more structure and skill-building may be preferred and recommended. Often, we end up exploring a bit of both worlds.
