Getting to know Kaleb Whitworth

My name is Kaleb, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S) and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in KY. Additionally, I hold national and international certifications as an International Certified Gambling Counselor-Level II (ICGC-II), International Gaming Disorder Counselor (IGDC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I received my Master's degree in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College, where I obtained specialized training in mental health and substance abuse counseling, in 2018. I enjoy focusing my work on matters related to mental health ailments, substance use issues and providing clinical supervision to other counselors pursuing professional counseling and alcohol and drug counseling licensures/certifications. I have seven years of experience providing professional counseling services to individuals, groups, and families experiencing a variety of life stressors. It is my passion to help others achieve a higher quality of life through a better understanding of themselves, others and the world.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, complete intake paperwork, explore any questions you have and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I typically utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients achieve an understanding of the relationship between their thoughts, behavior and emotions. CBT allows for the effective processing of thoughts, behavior and emotions.
