Hi there! I'm Dr. Kalin Alvey. My priority is creating a safe space for you to feel completely heard, understood, and supported. Whether this is your first experience with therapy, or you've tried it 100 times, I tailor my approach to meet your needs. There are no cookie-cutter methods here; everything depends on what you need and where you want to be. If you show up, and are ready for change, we can work together to guide you toward a brighter future! Process: My practice was founded to meet a need. I saw the need for psychotherapy across the country, and created a virtual space for patients to have access to services from the comfort of their own homes. We will work together to decide how frequent you would like your sessions to be, and I'm flexible with my scheduling. You will be able to access therapy without the extra time and effort of driving to an office to meet with a provider. Adding therapy to your schedule has never been easier! Mission: One mission. I promise to meet you where you are now and help to guide you to where you want to be. As the name of my practice dictates, I work with all people, from all walks of life, with all kinds of struggles. My practice was built around openness, acceptance, and non-judgment. About: Dr. Alvey graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2012. She pursued her Master's degree from the University of Louisville which she completed in 2015 with a specialization in military populations. She then went on to doctoral school at the University of Tennessee and became a Doctor of Clinical Social Work in 2020. She has worked with a variety of populations including LGBTQIA+, military and veterans, adolescents, and children.
