Hi. My name is Kamla Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained a Master of Social Work degree from Florida Atlantic University, as well as a Master of Health Administration degree, also from Florida Atlantic University. I have 15 years of experience in client care, starting as a nursing assistant. I hold the Master Certified Addictions Professional credential, Certified Case Manager Supervisor credential, am an approved mental health and substance abuse trainer by the Florida Certification Board, and a Certified Telehealth Practitioner.
My therapy style is client-centered and holistic. I have worked in child welfare, substance use, and mental health, supporting those affected by trauma. I serve children, adults, adolescents, geriatric clients, and the LGBTQIA+ community, knowing that clients are the masters of their own lives. My approach is to listen to each client's story, be client-centered, ask about their support system, and be fully present in every session. The person served is the expert in their life. My role is to journey alongside you to help you live your best, most purposeful, and fulfilled life, empowering you to continue your journey.
I encourage patients to feel motivated for the next steps in the process. I utilize clients' and families' strengths and encourage them to realize they can make changes within their lives. I am empathetic, compassionate, a good listener, flexible, dedicated, hardworking, and adaptable. I work well independently. The modalities I use are based on the client's situation and how I can best help. I utilize various evidence-based treatment modalities. I don't have all the answers, but I am here to support you and journey with you.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
