Getting to know Kandi Carter

I believe that every person is capable of finding the direction and healing they seek. I am here to walk beside you on this incredible journey called Life. It takes a lot of courage to reach out and seek help and I will be here to offer you insights and tools that may be helpful. I believe life can be beautiful even in the midst of uncertainty, pain, or difficulty. I focus on developing a genuine and non-judgemental relationship with my clients because I have found that this allows you to explore with both security and vulnerability- both of which are essential for growth. My therapeutic style is person-centered and values based and I try to take a comprehensive approach by incorporating aspects of various modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also a trained EMDR therapist. I welcome people of all backgrounds and have insight into trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and spirituality/faith related issues. I studied at University of Nevada Las Vegas and Argosy University and have been practicing for 9 years. In my free time I love to travel, go camping, read, paint, and sew. I love to spend time with my children and grandchildren who are scattered all over the United States. I am able to accept most insurances.
