Getting to know Kara Haines

Making the decision to talk openly about your mental health is not an easy one. I believe we need to look after our mental health the same as we look after our physical health. Taking this first step is a sign of strength and I am here to help you along your journey. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate programs at the Ohio State University and I graduated with my Masters of Social Work in 2019. I completed my undergraduate field placement at an organization that did both Equine Therapy and traditional psychotherapy. I completed my graduate program with a healthcare system doing medical social work. Over the past several years I have worked primarily with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and grief. I focus on using cognitive therapy to help you uncover your underlying thought patterns and how they are effecting your behaviors and emotions. By working together we can replace irrational or unhelpful thoughts with new, helpful, and rationale thoughts. I will always strive to empower you to hone your unique strengths to create meaningful and powerful change.
