I'm glad you found me. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and/or past trauma, I can help. In just a few sessions, we will work together so that you CAN FIND peace. I use a variety of interventions, including Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness, to assist clients in uncovering the root of their issues and begin to heal.
As a licensed therapist with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan, I have several years of experience partnering with adults struggling with relationships, addictions, and anxiety/depression. I offer a safe space for all people and am dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+ population. My therapeutic style is warm, open, and judgment-free.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Once you book your appointment you will receive a link for my biller Headway to verify your insurance. Please complete this information to ensure your insurance will pay for your visit and avoid out of pocket costs.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In our first session I will to know you more and find out your purpose for attending therapy. After that we will create some goals you want to accomplish in therapy. Together we will work through any trauma, dysfunction or struggles you are having.

I’ve been meeting with Kara for over a year now and she’s helped me a lot with a few things, anxiety in particular. She is the right mix of encouraging/understanding while also asking the right questions to challenge me to understand myself better and therefore grow as a person. If you’re considering therapy, give it a try and I think you’ll find it extremely helpful also!
