I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University, which laid the foundation for my diverse therapeutic approach. My approach I help you discover self-defeating patterns and use your strengths to develop new strategies through a blend of techniques from Rational Emotive Behavioral, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Solution Focused, Acceptance Commitment, Trauma Resiliency Method, Somatic Experiencing, Person-Centered, Motivational, Ego State, and Structural Family therapies. My focus I work with individuals from youth to elderly, couples, and families, addressing issues that hinder success, including childhood trauma, relationship problems, substance abuse or domestic violence impact, and military life stressors. I treat mental health disorders such as anxiety, panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PTSD, bulimia, substance abuse recovery, behavioral addictions, depression, and other mood disorders. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began with struggles during a difficult childhood, influenced by positive mentors who inspired my desire to understand human behavior. Early volunteering in high school revealed the magic of helping others. My career started as a counselor in Juvenile Hall at 26 and expanded to roles at the Betty Ford Center, working with families involved with Child Protection Services, and providing therapy to a wide range of clients in individual, couples, and family sessions experiencing early onset of mental health disorders.
