UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. My name is Kari (Karen) Rodriguez, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Florida. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor's degree from Southeastern University. In therapy, I empower my clients to overcome the burden of their anxiety and/or depression symptoms to regain control over their lives. I am passionate about helping clients see positive outcomes in their lives. I often use CBT in my practice as the first approach to treatment. In your first few sessions, I focus on building a therapeutic alliance with you and exploring what brought you to therapy. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviors. During treatment, I will teach you how to forge new cognitive pathways and learn more effective skills.
