Karen Simmons-Clifton, LMHC

Psychotherapist
FL
Hi there! I am an advocate and counselor for children, adolescents, and adults (singles, couples, and families). I address topics concerning childhood abuse and trauma, alcohol and drug addiction, human and sex trafficking, low self-esteem/self-worth/self-confidence, depression, domestic violence, and relational violence. I give a voice to the silent screams while creating a safe atmosphere to “tell all.” I introduce you to Healthier Perspectives through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Healthier Solutions with Solution-Focused Therapy; I challenge irrational thinking habits with Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and assist you in building on your individual strengths. Traumas are addressed via Trauma-Focused CBT, and reasoning and internal strength are discovered through Motivational Interviewing and more. I provide you with the tools you need to evolve into a healthier version of yourself-body, mind, and soul. If you are struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, feelings of hopelessness and/or lack of faith, anger, domestic violence/sexual abuse, mental and verbal abuse, if you are a victim of human or sex trafficking, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts and/or self-injurious behaviors, and you need guidance in transitioning your thoughts, behaviors, and way of living because the way you have been living is draining you of substance (literally, financially, mentally, and spiritually)-I can help! I am passionate about empowering others-body, mind, soul, and spirit. I bring professional and personal experience and meet you exactly where you are. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. You do not have to do this alone-allow me to push you to your next evolution!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
