Karen is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Rhode Island. She recently returned to Rhode Island from Lakeland, FL, in 2024.
Karen earned her Bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College and received her Master’s in Social Work from Rhode Island College in 1999, with a concentration in Children and Families. She has worked in public and alternative education for over 20 years, primarily with students in grades K-12 who have Behavioral/Emotional Disorders and Learning Disorders. Karen has also had the privilege of working with students in the LGBTQ community and looks forward to continuing that work in Rhode Island.
For 15 years, Karen served as a Field Supervisor for the Rhode Island College School of Social Work, supervising both Bachelor’s and Master’s level clinicians.
Karen volunteers for Camp Courage, Take Heart, Kidspack, and Make-A-Wish. She also loves theater, music, and football.
