Hey there, I'm Kari Buchholz, LCSW! For over a decade, I've been teaming up with folks and families, helping them move towards living a life that is genuine, connected, and fulfilling. Jumping into therapy isn't easy, but I aim to bring honesty, empathy, and a good dose of laughter to our sessions. I've had the privilege of working with people across all stages of life, specializing in OCD and anxiety, children and families, and trauma-informed care. I'm a graduate of Miami University with a Master's in Social Work, and I'm big on providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment. I'm committed to continuing to learn as much as I can about how to help you as an individual. If you feel like your anxiety is controlling your life, if you're a parent struggling with challenging or confusing child behaviors, or if you want to gain more understanding of yourself and what's in your way, let's get to work! I am trained in EMDR, ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), ACT, and Acceptance-enhanced Behavioral Therapy for Trichotillomania. I know how time-consuming and challenging it is to find your “fit” in a therapist. I believe therapy is an incredible tool and have experience on both sides of the couch. I feel very lucky to do this work and would be honored to be able to witness and support any part of your journey.
