Seeking support takes courage, and I want you to know that I do not take your current challenge of starting with a new counselor for granted. I consider it a privilege to create a space where people feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey. With over 15 years of experience in the counseling field, I work with adults experiencing high-conflict relationships, all-or-nothing thinking, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, addiction, burnout, destructive relationships, life transitions, and emotional burnout. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including mindfulness and third-wave behavioral therapies such as DBT. Together, we focus on increasing self-awareness, developing practical coping strategies, and creating meaningful, lasting change. Many people begin counseling feeling stuck, exhausted, disconnected, or uncertain about where to start. My goal is to provide a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where clients can show up authentically and feel safe exploring their experiences at their own pace. I believe healing happens through strong, healthy connections, stable, positive relationships, positive coping skills, self-compassion, and learning new ways to respond to life’s challenges. I value authenticity, cultural humility, and whole-person wellness. I also recognize that every individual brings unique strengths, resilience, and life experiences into the counseling process. Whether you are seeking support for a specific concern or simply looking for a place to process and grow, counseling can offer space for clarity, healing, and renewed direction. If you are considering starting therapy, I welcome the opportunity to connect and see whether we may be a good fit for working together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care. I recognize that mental health and substance use concerns often carry significant stigma, and many individuals have learned to internalize shame, fear, or self-judgment around their experiences. Because of this, I believe the first step in the counseling process is creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel respected and accepted as they are. I use a “no wrong door” approach, meaning individuals are met with support, dignity, and collaboration regardless of where they are in their journey. I also honor the important role that culture, identity, family systems, and lived experiences play in shaping both stressors and treatment choices. Through a trauma-informed lens, I work collaboratively with clients to build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, sustainable healing at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
