Hello, I'm Karina Gutierrez, MA, LPC. I'm a bilingual licensed professional counselor with 7 years of experience helping individuals navigate complex emotional and psychological issues. From relational problems to major life transitions to mood disorders, I have a passion for utilizing a psychodynamic, huMaleistic, and integrative approach to therapy. I believe in tailoring my approach to the unique needs and goals of each client. The majority of my experience has been centered in helping my adult clients through a trauma-informed lens, to help minimize the symptoms of depression, anxiety, adult ADHD, and PTSD. I'm trained to work with the LGBTQ+ community, and I strive to understand their unique struggles and experiences. In my therapy sessions, I create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe in empowering my clients to better understand themselves and their experiences, and in supporting them in their journey towards growth and self-discovery. My philosophy is centered around strengths in relationships, introspection of our inner self, and in restorative rest.
