Hi! I am Karina, a licensed therapist who has also been a high school teacher for 15 years. I have been licensed since 2019 and hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I look forward to joining you on your journey. I am here to help you feel empowered and to guide you through your process of discovery. Life is full of doubts and questions. I am very passionate about everything that I do, and my goal as a therapist is to help in every way that I can. I believe that establishing rapport is key when connecting with a client, and I will do my best to make every session comfortable and productive for you.
I am here to help assist in managing anxiety, depression, and any other situation that may need focusing on. I have experience treating children, adolescents, the LGBTQ+ community, and providing group and marriage (couples) counseling. I appreciate you taking the time to consider me to assist. What should a new client know about working with you?
Our first session will be about getting to know each other and to ensure that we go over the informed consent. Questions/doubts can be asked at any time throughout your therapeutic experience. I strive to guide you through the process of overcoming, making important decisions, and talking about perspectives of life.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
